I was born in North Dakota, grew up in Los Angeles, worked as a reporter-columnist for the Los Angeles Times-Mirror company for 12 years before moving over to NBC-TV’s Press Department for the next 25 years. After I retired and our kids moved all over the damned country Betsey and I decided to move to Livingston, Montana, to enjoy years around her family.
